So...this happend!
I entered one of my pieces of art into an Art Competition a few months ago and the winners would be selected to have their art work displayed in a major exhibition at Shrewbury Museum & Art Gallery alongside famous artworks by Andy Warhol, Banksy, J M W Turner, Tracey Emin to name just a few. And guess what? I won and was selected to display my artwork!
This exhibition follows on from last years arts trail and this years, its theme is 'Be Inspired', local artists responding to, and being inspired by 'big' names from the art world.
My artwork is often inspired by two famous American pastelists, I worked from my own photograph, that I took while on holiday in Dorset last year.
The Arts Trail is being displayed in key locations around Shrewsbury, including: The Orchard Cafe in Shrewsbury Cathedral (I have three paintings for sale at this venue), Shrewsbury Castle, The Dingle, Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery, Theatre Severn, Soden Collection, The Parade, The Visual Art Network gallery, Bear Steps Gallery, The Market Hall, Raven Studios, St Mary's church, where Shropshire Art Society have some beautiful work on display, Made in Shropshire, The Hive, Number 61, The Visionary Cafe and The Unitarian Church.
The trail is on until the end of August 2022 so I do hope you get to find time to go and enjoy the arts trail.
